VP, Regional FX Options Structuring - APAC

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is seeking a Vice President Foreign Exchange Options Structuring to lead its APAC FX Options franchise from Singapore. The role carries direct accountability for growing the franchise over five years, with an ambition of USD 10 million in annualised revenue, and involves building client relationships, designing bespoke product solutions and influencing stakeholders across Singapore, Hong Kong, China and India.

Key responsibilities

• Originate new business with corporate, institutional and financial-institution clients across APAC and increase the number of active FX Options clients.
• Design bespoke solutions using vanilla products and advanced structures such as TARFs and Lookback Options.
• Coach Sales teams through education sessions and hands-on training, and work with Trading teams to set competitive pricing and risk-adjusted returns.
• Track metrics such as client activity, product penetration and revenue contributions, and monitor progress against revenue targets including FX Options Markup and Sales Credit Revenue.
• Influence Product Governance, Compliance, Technology, Risk Management and Legal Operations teams to ensure seamless transaction execution.
• Build strong relationships with regional treasury centres, CFOs and treasurers, and coordinate pipeline management and restructuring activity.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of overall experience in the banking industry.
• At least 5 years of direct client-facing FX experience, with a proven record of originating and developing FX Options business.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline, plus any regulatory licence required for employment in Singapore.
• Franchise-building mindset, strong commercial judgement and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without formal authority.
