About the role
This role focuses on moving products throughout the warehouse using material handling equipment. It requires the ability to operate and drive manual handling equipment in line with local legislation, and typically calls for an externally accredited qualification or licence. Typical titles include Forklift Operator, Equipment Operator and MHE Operator.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, transfer, check and store incoming goods
- Load and unload from containers and loose shipments
- Report any product damage
- Support general warehouse operations
- Use all material-handling equipment safely and correctly
- Follow EHS (environment, health and safety) procedures and requirements
- Carry out ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor
Required profile
- Ability to operate lifting equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks
- Past work experience in warehousing or a related industry
- Basic EHS knowledge
- Externally accredited qualification or licence for operating manual handling equipment
