Warehouse Process Expert

About the role

Novartis is seeking a Warehouse Process Expert to lead day‑to‑day warehouse operations and contractor performance, ensuring safe, compliant, accurate and timely material handling across all logistics functions.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure HSE, cGMP and GDP compliance, including documentation, training, housekeeping, deviation/CAPA closure and risk management.
• Lead receiving, verification, labelling, put‑away and SAP Goods Receipt transactions.
• Execute process and transfer orders, material issuance, and picking for Production Units per SOPs.
• Coordinate raw material sampling and shipments with Quality Control and external providers.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock‑taking, discrepancy resolution and financial controls.
• Support audit readiness, pre‑audit walk‑downs and stakeholder coordination.
• Handle GMP‑compliant drug substance and cold‑chain shipping.
• Drive continuous improvement, contractor engagement and operational support.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehousing or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in logistics/warehouse management, preferably in pharma or cGMP‑regulated environments.
• Experience managing a sizeable group of warehouse operators or contractors.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Good understanding of SAP warehouse management modules (WM, MM) or similar supply chain systems.
• Knowledge of cGMP quality requirements in pharma/biopharma.
