Wet Process DMTS/SMTS, Process Development, Advanced NAND

About the role

Micron is hiring a Distinguished/Senior Member of Technical Staff (DMTS/SMTS) for its Advanced NAND process development group. The role drives innovation in NAND process solutions, supports pathfinding, device improvement and yield ramp-up, and works with multi-functional teams in Process Integration, Process Development, Advanced Modeling and Device Engineering to set long-term process technology roadmaps and deliver silicon-based solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the process and chemistry pathfinding portion of the NAND process technology roadmap.
• Work with equipment and material (chemistry) suppliers to advance technology development and maintain timely progress.
• Explore new materials and methods from academic and consortium projects to guide roadmap solutions and internal project selection.
• Coordinate pathfinding activities with partner organizations, engineering teams and technology development fabs, and align roadmaps across process development teams.
• Lead a multi-functional technical team to drive new technology node yield and device roadmap, working closely with process integration, technology development and local yield teams.
• Define and drive statements of work to increase Micron's exclusivity of equipment, chemistry and process solutions.
• Guide and mentor team members and foster continuous learning and career development.

Required profile

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in wet process development.
• Experience leading innovation efforts across large and small teams and meeting critical deliverables.
• Preferred: PhD in Materials Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or a similar field; exceptional candidates with an MS or BS will be considered.

Required skills

• Good understanding of process technology development business processes and strategy.
• Deep knowledge of memory technologies, semiconductor processing and devices, surface science and analytical methods for material properties.
• Expertise in semiconductor process technology assessment for rational risk assessment.
• Ability to collaborate internally and externally, strong presentation skills, matrix management and partnership skills.
