Wholesale Trade Manager

About the role

The Wholesale Trade Manager will lead the development and execution of marketing and sales strategies for Indian household and grocery products in Singapore. This role focuses on expanding export wholesale business, strengthening supplier relationships, and ensuring optimal market coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing strategies and identify new business opportunities.
• Determine merchandise mix, pricing, and credit policies for wholesale and retail channels.
• Plan, direct and evaluate operations of wholesale and retail establishments.
• Analyse market research to forecast consumer demand and assess competitor impact.
• Manage distribution channels to achieve sales targets and market coverage.
• Establish and grow sourcing networks while maintaining strong supplier and vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Oversee staff, budget planning, expenditure authorization and resolve customer complaints.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of B2B sales experience in Indian wholesale consumer products.
• Experience in wholesale/retail packaging of household and grocery items is preferred.
• Class 2A/2B or Class 3 driving licence (own transport preferred) for occasional field work.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Tamil.
