Workplace Safety & Health Coordinator

About the role

The Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Coordinator will lead safety initiatives across project sites, ensuring compliance with Singapore’s WSH legislation and client requirements. Reporting to the Project Manager and Corporate Safety Manager, the role supports safe operations at Pulau Bukom, Jurong Island and other locations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily WSH activities, conduct inspections, safety observations, stand‑downs and toolbox talks.
• Maintain and improve the Safety & Health Management System, updating risk assessments, safe work procedures and related documentation.
• Respond to incidents, conduct root‑cause investigations (e.g., 5 Whys), prepare reports and track corrective actions.
• Plan and participate in internal and external HSE audits, monitor compliance and ensure timely closure of findings.
• Coordinate safety inductions, toolbox talks and HSE training programmes; develop annual training plans.
• Prepare monthly HSE reports, manage manpower deployment records and act as secretary for HSE Committee meetings.

Required profile

• WSQ Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of WSH experience in construction, civil engineering, facilities management, oil & gas or petrochemical sectors.
• Familiarity with Singapore WSH legislation, Codes of Practice and industry standards; refinery or petrochemical plant experience preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination and report‑writing abilities; able to work independently across multiple sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
