Workplace Safety & Health Coordinator (Tuas)

About the role

The Workplace Safety & Health Coordinator will ensure that all safety regulations and company procedures are strictly followed on the Tuas construction site. This role involves close collaboration with project teams to maintain a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements at the project site.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety observations and safety audits.
• Identify unsafe acts, conditions and potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in preparing, reviewing and monitoring Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures and Method Statements.
• Ensure workers and subcontractors comply with WSH regulations, company procedures and project safety requirements.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings and safety inductions.
• Monitor high‑risk activities and ensure proper safety control measures are implemented.
• Oversee Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) requirements for applicable activities.
• Follow up on safety observations, non‑conformities and corrective/preventive actions.
• Assist in incident, accident and near‑miss investigations and prepare safety reports.
• Maintain records of inspections, safety meetings, training, incidents and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, workers and subcontractors on WSH matters.

Required profile

• Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B).
• Valid Manage Work at Height certificate.
• Valid Risk Management (BizSAFE Level 2) certificate.
• Relevant experience in civil infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong communication, coordination, documentation and reporting abilities.
• Immediate availability or short‑notice candidates are an advantage.
