Workshop Manager

About the role

The Workshop Manager will lead a heavy‑industry workshop, overseeing the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment and fleet vehicles. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will ensure safe, compliant operations while driving productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a fleet of machines, equipment and vehicles, scheduling preventive maintenance and coordinating repairs.
• Supervise and train mechanics for in‑house repairs and servicing.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety measures and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare daily and weekly operational reports for senior management.
• Lead the workshop team, applying supervisory and leadership principles to achieve performance targets.
• Work six days a week, with occasional seven‑day requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing a steel, construction, or heavy‑industry workshop.
• Proven experience in machinery repair and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety regulations.
• Ability to motivate and lead a technical team.
