Accountant – ASEAN South

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to support the ASEAN South entities (Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia) of bioMérieux. Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller ASEAN South, you will ensure accurate and timely corporate and statutory reporting while managing credit collection and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Process day‑to‑day transactions and support month‑end close activities in collaboration with the Shared Service Centre (SSC).
• Prepare accruals, month‑end journals and review balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Manage accounts receivable, credit collection and resolve customer discrepancies.
• Oversee accounts payable, vendor master data, and timely payment processing.
• Maintain fixed assets, installed base and inventory accounting, including provisions for obsolete stock.
• Handle intercompany billing, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Provide monthly expense tracking, analysis and communication with cost‑center owners.
• Ensure timely statutory filings with ACRA, corporate tax submissions and coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities.

Required profile

• Relevant accounting qualification or degree.
• Experience in corporate accounting, month‑end close and statutory reporting.
• Strong understanding of ASEAN tax regulations, GST and ACRA requirements.
• Ability to work with shared services and coordinate cross‑border finance activities.
