Accountant – Finance Operations (Singapore)

About the role

The Finance Manager is seeking an Accountant to join the finance team in Singapore. The role will handle general ledger, accounts receivable, month‑end closing and financial reporting while supporting finance executives across the Hanwha Ocean Group.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records in the ERP system and post journal entries, including accruals, pre‑payments, depreciation and other month‑end adjustments.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices and credit notes, monitor receivable balances, and follow up on collections.
• Perform bank reconciliations, maintain supporting schedules and ensure proper filing of accounting documents.
• Assist with external audits, tax filings and statutory reporting requirements.
• Provide guidance to Finance Executives on accounts payable, expense claims and fixed‑asset matters.
• Participate in ERP implementation, process‑improvement initiatives and ad‑hoc finance projects.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in engineering, EPC, construction or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA) preferred or currently being pursued.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SAP ERP systems.
