Accountant – Finance Team (Singapore)

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant to join a globally recognised FMCG business in Singapore. The role will support robust financial accounting practices across regional markets and work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate month‑end closings and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all financial closing and reporting activities for the region on time, supporting the Assistant Finance Manager.
• Manage compliance and statutory reporting, including corporate secretarial tasks, expense validation, tax filings, audit coordination and regulatory submissions.
• Provide financial accounting guidance to internal stakeholders to support decision‑making and value‑adding initiatives.
• Assist with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities to support business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement by streamlining processes, strengthening controls and enhancing reporting efficiency.
• Perform general ledger accounting during month‑end and year‑end, including journal entries, intercompany billing validation and accrual monitoring.
• Collaborate with supply‑chain teams to post logistics accruals and reconcile cost listings against statutory P&L statements.
• Maintain monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations and prepare quarterly schedules for regional and group reporting.
• Create and maintain annual SAP Internal Orders for all markets, ensuring accurate customer and SKU assignment.
• Support price maintenance in SAP, updating master price lists and validating uploads.
