Accountant – Financial Reporting & Month‑End Close

About the role

This position supports the client’s financial reporting and month‑end close processes, ensuring the general ledger remains accurate and compliant with internal and external requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, profit & loss statements, month‑end closing and cost reports.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations with supporting documentation.
• Gather and analyse data to ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
• Implement and maintain accounting controls and procedures.
• Monitor budgets, recommend budget levels and control expenditures.
• Review financial reports and analyse variances in revenue, expenses and balance sheets.
• Collaborate with business units to resolve discrepancies.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX and internal policies.
• Manage financial systems and databases, inputting data for reporting.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with Oracle Financials or other ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, ledger management and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Access is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to meet deadlines.
