Accountant – Full Set with AP & GL Focus (Non-profit)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Accountant to take ownership of full‑set accounting for a non‑profit organisation. The role centres on managing Accounts Payable and General Ledger processes while ensuring accurate month‑end and year‑end close.

Key responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, run payments and perform vendor reconciliations (Accounts Payable).
• Prepare journal entries, maintain account reconciliations and support month‑end closing (General Ledger).
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing activities to deliver timely financial reports.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Supervise a small accounting team, review their work and ensure accuracy.
• Liaise with external auditors, prepare audit schedules and address queries.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on finance‑related matters and drive process improvements in AP and closing.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA preferred.
• 5‑8 years of experience handling full‑set accounts with strong exposure to AP and GL.
• Proven experience supervising a small team.
• Independent experience liaising with auditors.
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder management.
