Accountant – General Ledger (MNC)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant to join a global technology infrastructure organisation. The role is pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end close, and providing insights that drive business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries with full documentation.
• Manage month‑end closing activities, including profit & loss preparation and reporting.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and detailed variance analysis.
• Analyse financial data to support forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Monitor accounting reports for accuracy and compliance with GAAP and SOX.
• Collaborate with business units to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
• Support internal and external audits and contribute to system enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of month‑end closing and reconciliation procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
