Accountant (Local Finance)

About the role

The Accountant (Local Finance) will manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial records, and support the Group Finance Manager with reporting and compliance. This role covers the full accounting cycle, from month‑end closings to tax reporting, using SAP S/4HANA.

Key responsibilities

• Handle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Fixed Assets.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month‑end and year‑end closings.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/local GAAP, statutory regulations, and company policies.
• Support GST/VAT reporting and coordinate with tax agents.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Maintain organized financial records and uphold internal controls.
• Use SAP S/4HANA for transaction posting, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Liaise with auditors during annual audits and provide required documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or local GAAP.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• High integrity, accountability, and strong organizational skills.
