Accountant / Senior Accountant (Contract)

About the role

You will join Sea’s HQ Finance department, supporting the accounting and finance functions of its core businesses (Garena, Shopee, Monee). The position is a contract role focused on ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with tax and audit regulations, and timely reporting across multiple regional entities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain financial security by following internal controls, accounting standards, and tax requirements.
• Reconcile system and finance record discrepancies and proactively resolve differences.
• Execute monthly closing activities, including accounts receivable and revenue functions.
• Prepare monthly financial and management reporting packages and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Produce accounting schedules and GST returns.
• Support audits and the preparation of financial statements.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., Chartered Accountant, ACCA) is a plus.
• Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is advantageous.
• Strong analytical thinking, logical sense and commitment to high‑quality results.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all organisational levels.
