Accountant / Senior Accountant

About the role

Our client, a well‑established player in the energy and commodities sector, is looking for an Accountant or Senior Accountant to join the finance team. You will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting key audit and tax activities.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day‑to‑day accounting and financial reporting tasks.
• Prepare monthly and year‑end management reports and perform reconciliations.
• Support audit, tax and statutory reporting requirements.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, auditors, tax advisors and external parties on finance matters.
• Review financial data, investigate variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Drive process improvements and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in accounting and/or audit.
• Experience in energy, commodities, trading or related industries is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of Singapore accounting and statutory requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA or equivalent is a plus.
