Accountant – Southeast Asia

About the role

The Accountant will be responsible for the full set of accounting activities for all Southeast Asian entities of the Cleantech Group. This role ensures accurate financial representation and compliance across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full‑set accounts for SEA entities, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets and cash.
• Execute month‑end closing activities, journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and reconciliations.
• Process vendor invoices, manage AP ageing and ensure timely payments aligned with cash‑flow planning.
• Handle AR duties such as customer invoicing, posting, ageing monitoring and collection follow‑ups.
• Monitor project costs and work‑in‑progress, track actuals versus budgets and prepare variance analyses.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile AR, AP and inter‑company sub‑ledgers.
• Support tax, audit and compliance functions, including GST, VAT and withholding tax filings.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and provide ad‑hoc reporting as required.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of finance and accounting experience, preferably with an audit background.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑directed and able to meet tight reporting deadlines.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation abilities.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, specifically MS Dynamics 365 Business Central.
