About the role
The Town Council Secretariat (TCS) supports the Ministry of National Development in overseeing the financial governance of Singapore's town councils. As an Accountant, you will ensure that town councils comply with financial regulations and deliver accurate financial reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and assess the financial performance of town councils.
- Review financial statements prepared by town councils and verify compliance with regulations.
- Evaluate town council claims for government grants.
- Handle financial matters related to town council operations.
- Manage systems‑development projects and design work processes.
- Prepare analytical reports, present findings to senior management, and coordinate data collection with relevant agencies.
Required profile
- Degree in Accountancy or Chartered Accountant registration with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.
- Minimum of three years’ audit experience.
- Meticulous, self‑driven, and able to work under pressure.
- Strong analytical and communication abilities.
