Accountant – Vessel Accounting

About the role

Fleet Ship Management is seeking an Accountant to support daily vessel accounting operations. You will work closely with internal finance teams and external owners to ensure accurate financial reporting for a diverse fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Handle vessel accounting and portage bill accounting.
• Raise fund requests to owners, monitor receipts, and arrange inter‑company fund transfers.
• Prepare full‑set vessel reports with supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with other functions to meet reporting deadlines.
• Scrutinise vessel reports and respond to owner queries.
• Assist in reconciliation of inter‑company vessel balances.
• Provide MIS data related to vessel reports to supervisors and head office.
• Support finance & accounts department with ad‑hoc assignments and SOX audit preparation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of solid accounting experience handling vessel reports independently.
• Graduate or higher diploma in Accountancy, Business or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective decision‑making and teamwork orientation.
