Accounting Manager – Manufacturing (West Singapore)

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead the finance and accounting function for the Singapore entity of a machine‑tool manufacturing company. Reporting to the Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, robust costing, and effective support for business decisions in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full‑set accounting, month‑end close, balance‑sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals and statutory reporting in line with IFRS and group policies.
• Manage year‑end audit, tax compliance and internal control frameworks.
• Support manufacturing cost accounting, including BOM, routing, direct and indirect cost tracking, inventory valuation and cost variance analysis.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, management reports and profitability analyses for products and business units.
• Supervise finance executives and accounting staff, driving process improvements, ERP enhancements and reporting automation.
• Assist with capex tracking, risk monitoring and governance initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or CA preferred.
• 6–10 years of accounting and finance experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Experience with costing, inventory accounting and exposure to multinational or structured environments.
