Accounts Receivable Officer (5-Month Contract)

About the role

The NETS Group, a payments services group operating Singapore's national debit scheme, is hiring an AR Officer for a 5-month contract. The role supports the Accounts Receivable function by ensuring timely and accurate posting of customer payments, following up on outstanding receivables and reconciling payments collected at customer service counters against daily collection reports, in line with credit control policies and accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Post customer payments (bank transfers, cheques, GIRO and others) accurately in SAP and allocate receipts against outstanding invoices.
• Reconcile payments collected at counters against bank statements, daily collection reports and internal records.
• Process hardcopy GIRO application forms, submit them to the bank, keep records and follow up on rejected applications.
• Monitor ageing reports and follow up on overdue accounts with Statements of Account, payment reminders and collection notices.
• Generate and distribute AR reports to business units and escalate collection issues and disputed invoices.
• Handle customer and stakeholder enquiries through the CRM system within SLAs.
• Support month-end and year-end closing, including account reconciliations, AR analysis and management reports.
• Assist with process improvement and ad hoc finance and administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or Finance Operations; fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome.
• Experience in collections, payment processing and account reconciliation is an advantage.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel (formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
• CRM experience preferred.
• Attention to detail, analytical and numerical skills, and strong communication and teamwork.
