Active Directory Engineer – Migration & Upgrade Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Active Directory Engineer to lead migration and upgrade projects across our Singapore environment. The role involves assessing current AD landscapes, designing migration strategies, automating tasks, and providing technical leadership to ensure secure, seamless transitions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute Active Directory migration and upgrade activities.
• Assess existing AD environments, including domain controllers, Group Policy, DNS, DFS, and security configurations.
• Support domain controller promotion, demotion, and migration processes.
• Troubleshoot directory synchronization, federation, authentication, and authorization issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams during migration projects.
• Utilise AD migration tools such as ADMT, Quest Migration Manager, or equivalents.
• Develop PowerShell scripts to automate AD administration and migration tasks.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑migration testing, health checks, and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, operational processes, and ITIL practices.
• Provide technical guidance, mentor junior engineers, and maintain documentation and knowledge articles.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in Active Directory administration, migration, and upgrade projects.
• Hands‑on experience with multi‑site, multi‑domain, and multi‑forest AD environments.
• Strong knowledge of DNS, DFS, Group Policy, and AD lifecycle management.
• Proficiency with AD migration tools (ADMT, Quest Migration Manager, or similar).
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
