Actuarial Internship - Financial Services Assurance

About the role

PwC's Financial Services Assurance practice helps organisations strengthen trust and transparency in financial reporting, serving clients in asset management, banking, capital markets and insurance. This actuarial internship places you in teams supporting your seniors on audit work for life insurance clients.

Key responsibilities

• Work in teams to assist seniors with audit support work for life insurance clients.

Required profile

• Knowledge in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline with an analytical and quantitative component.
• A self-driven learner able to quickly learn and apply new tools and techniques, such as proprietary actuarial software and cash flow models.
• An appreciation of structured, methodical research, critical thinking and problem solving, applied in a business environment.
• Natural curiosity to identify, investigate and explain trends and patterns in data.
• Ability to explain complex concepts and technical findings clearly to team members and clients.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), including VBA programming.
• Programming (VBA, C++, Java, Python) and analytical software (R, SAS) are an added advantage.
