About the role
Nanyang International School (NIS) is a private education institution offering education from Year 1 to Year 12. It is looking for an Adjunct Teacher of Chinese Language to teach GCE O-level and GCE subjects, including Chinese Language, alongside other subjects such as English Language, Mathematics, Science, Computing and Humanities. Teachers are appointed on a full-time basis for the full academic year.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons in the subject area in line with syllabus requirements
- Use student-centred learning approaches and differentiated instruction to meet diverse learner needs
- Set, mark and moderate assignments, class tests and/or examinations
- Contribute to curriculum development and lesson planning as required
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
- Support students academically and personally
- Submit weekly reports tracking student progress
- Collaborate with fellow subject teachers and department staff on planning and moderation
