Adjunct Lecturer - Master of Science in Psychology

About the role

Nanyang Institute of Management (NIM), established in 2001, is looking for an Adjunct Lecturer for its Master of Science in Psychology programme within the School of Education. The workplace is on site, and the role involves delivering postgraduate-level teaching and supporting students through advanced assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Teach core areas such as critical thinking, research methodologies, mentoring and coaching practices, leadership, curriculum design and inclusive education.
• Design and apply creative learning resources and assessment strategies that support the academic programme's goals.
• Support students with advanced work such as reflective writing, analytical critiques, research proposals and their final thesis projects.
• Cultivate a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that values diversity, equity and respect for different perspectives.
• Collaborate with other faculty to strengthen curriculum design and maintain high programme standards.
• Take part in ongoing professional learning and contribute to initiatives that improve programme effectiveness.

Required profile

• Master's degree in psychology or a closely related discipline; a PhD is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience teaching at postgraduate level in a related field.
• Knowledge of psychology research methodologies.
• Proven ability to develop engaging learning materials and encourage active student participation.
• Strong verbal and written communication and effective interpersonal skills.
