Advertising Product Manager Intern

About the role

Tencent's Corporate Development Group (CDG) is the platform for new business incubation and exploration, covering areas such as financial technology, advertising and marketing services, and supporting strategic planning, investments, investor relations and corporate communications. This internship sits within the advertising business unit and focuses on data-driven product work for an overseas Ad Network.

Key responsibilities

• Support data analysis for the overseas Ad Network to identify optimization opportunities and improve campaign performance through industry insights and data-driven recommendations.
• Work with Data Science and Algorithms teams to design and validate advertising strategies, refine analysis methods and strategic tools, and improve bidding, targeting and pacing models.
• Drive the full product development lifecycle, from requirement analysis and cross-functional coordination to launch and post-launch performance reviews.
• Explore and implement AI agents and automated analysis tools to streamline data workflows and improve the efficiency of analysis and decision-making.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, with an expected graduation in 2027.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, a strong sense of ownership and a customer-oriented mindset.
• Fast learner, effective team player with excellent communication skills.
• Prior internship or work experience in the tech or internet industry is preferred.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Mandarin, as the role involves meetings and written materials in both languages with global teams and Chinese headquarters stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL and Python (knowledge of C++/Go is a plus).
