AEM QA Lead

About the role

This role will lead quality assurance for banking mobile applications, planning and executing testing activities across the full software development lifecycle. The AEM QA Lead will shape QA processes, mentor the team and ensure high‑quality releases.

Key responsibilities

• Define, evolve and enforce formal QA processes and industry‑best practices.
• Oversee test planning, test case design, execution (manual and automated) and defect lifecycle management.
• Coordinate internal QA resources and external contract testers, acting as the primary QA point of contact for releases.
• Develop and maintain test metrics, tools and reporting to meet quality goals.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure new components are testable and to stay informed of emerging technologies.
• Mentor and guide QA team members, fostering continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Proven ability to design and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases and regression suites.
• Strong written communication skills for documenting test results and defects.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• JIRA for defect tracking and test management.
• Test case design, test planning and test execution.
• Manual testing and automated testing concepts.
• Understanding of Progressive Web App (PWA) development for mobile banking.
• Knowledge of software development life‑cycle (SDLC) and QA processes.
