Air-Conditioning Technician

About the role

A team dedicated to keeping commercial and residential spaces comfortable year-round is looking for an Air-Conditioning Technician. This is a hands-on, field-based position focused on maintenance, servicing and repair of air-conditioning systems, suited to someone who takes pride in technical workmanship.

Key responsibilities

• Service, preventive maintenance and clean split, cassette and centralised air-conditioning units
• Diagnose faults, repair equipment and recommend solutions
• Install new systems and components to technical specifications and safety standards
• Test systems after service or repair and top up refrigerant gas and pressure test where required
• Handle breakdown and emergency calls quickly to minimise client downtime
• Complete service reports and job records, and liaise with clients on site
• Follow workplace safety rules and assist in inspecting and handing over newly installed systems

Required profile

• Minimum GCE N/O Level or equivalent technical qualification; RAC certification is advantageous
• Demonstrated experience servicing and repairing AC systems in commercial or residential settings
• Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision and to lift equipment and tools up to 20 kg
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
• Good time management and ability to handle several service jobs per day

Required skills

• Solid understanding of refrigeration principles, electrical circuits and mechanical systems
• Strong problem-solving and methodical fault-finding approach
• Clear communication with clients and colleagues
