Aircraft Painter – Permanent (SGD 5,000‑6,500/month)

About the role

We are seeking experienced Aircraft Paint Technicians to join a globally recognised MRO leader. The position is permanent, based in Singapore, with UK Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship and relocation support for qualified candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting – stripping, sanding, grinding, buffing, masking and sealing.
• Apply Alodine, putty, primer and base coat using spray guns and related equipment.
• Apply stripes, decals, vinyl appliques and custom artwork according to engineering drawings and customer instructions.
• Perform touch‑up, polishing and spot‑in work to achieve a high‑quality finish.
• Mix and manage various paint systems – high solids, conventional, lacquer and metallic paints.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, maintenance manuals and design renderings.
• Set up and operate paint pots, spray guns and related equipment.
• Conduct colour matching, metallic blending and laser‑eye layout for custom applications (senior grades).
• Document work per the Inspection Procedures Manual and adhere to safety procedures, including respirator and PPE use.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of hands‑on aircraft painting experience in an aerospace or MRO environment (6+ years for senior grade).
• Proven expertise in surface preparation and paint application techniques.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and identify colours accurately.
• Willingness to work in a non‑air‑conditioned hangar and wear a respirator throughout the shift.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Readiness to relocate permanently to the United Kingdom.
