Analyst / Associate, Sector Coverage APAC

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is hiring an Analyst / Associate for its Sector Coverage team in Singapore, focused on the APAC region. The role supports deal origination and execution in Renewables, Utilities, Infrastructure & Transport (RUIT) and other sector verticals, working with senior client executives and internal stakeholders on high-profile deals.

Key responsibilities

• Support deal origination and execution across RUIT and other sectors, engaging clients throughout APAC
• Assist in building financial models and analyses, including comparable transactions and peer analysis, to support credit decisions and monitor deal risk
• Manage project administration and transaction logistics, keeping meticulous records
• Prepare marketing materials, transaction documentation, investor presentations and management reports
• Research sub-sector trends and deal opportunities, and share insights in client meetings
• Work with coverage bankers, Debt Capital Markets teams, product and distribution partners on origination-to-distribution engagement
• Take part in due diligence, loan structuring, debt financing and deal execution
• Contribute to conferences, branding initiatives and industry events, and help optimise risk-return outcomes across the portfolio

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• Analyst: minimum 1 year of corporate finance or leveraged finance experience at a leading bank
• Associate: minimum 4 years of corporate finance or leveraged finance experience at a leading bank
• Proven experience in corporate finance or leveraged finance roles
• Attention to detail, critical thinking, ability to manage competing priorities and ethical conduct with confidential information
