Analyst FI Business Management

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is hiring an Analyst FI Business Management in its Singapore office (Marina One). Financial Institutions is a coverage unit and key growth segment of the Bank/GCIB business, serving clients across banks, institutional investors and financial sponsors, insurance, public sector and diversified financials. The position assists the Global Co-Head of FI in setting business strategies, performance management, risk and control frameworks and project initiatives, and reports to the Head of APAC FI Business Management.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Global Co-Head of FI in creating global, regional and country strategies, monitoring progress and identifying business trends
• Create strategic and financial presentations for management meetings and business reviews, including year-to-end performance analysis and target suggestions
• Provide financial analytics and market analysis to support business decisions and planning
• Help achieve financial targets, monitor performance regularly and perform forecasts and risk analyses such as product penetration and concentration risks
• Contribute to Global and APAC FI strategy and account plans, define and deliver business process improvements and drive client-centred initiatives
• Manage projects independently or with virtual teams, propose solutions and encourage innovative ideas
• Ensure adherence to regional, country and regulatory risk and compliance requirements, identify and remediate risk and control issues (credit, operational, information security, data integrity, fiduciary duties) and maintain internal controls
• Assist the Global Co-Head of FI and GCIBD management with business planning and cost control, and meet KPIs set by management

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Finance
• Experience in business management, business analyst or project management roles with a corporate or FI banking background supporting the front line
• Strong stakeholder management, written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Problem-solving, analytical mindset, able to work under strict timelines and manage multiple projects
• Attention to detail, a "can-do" attitude and ability to learn quickly
