Analytical Development Chemist Trainee (Attach and Train Programme)

About the role

GSK's Attach and Train (AnT) programme is a 15-month on-the-job training scheme for the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry in Singapore, offering hands-on experience, industry-relevant skills and mentorship. It is open to fresh graduates and mid-career people, but only Singapore citizens or permanent residents are considered. The trainee is based at a GSK manufacturing site near Jurong.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure data supporting analytical methods are accurate and take the right action when issues arise.
• Contribute to plans for implementing new testing technologies and methods.
• Assess changes that may affect product quality, validation and GMP compliance.
• Lead or take part in investigations, incidents and recommendations, and follow up on remedial actions.
• Draft, review and update laboratory documents such as testing protocols, procedures, analytical methods and GMP-related guidelines.
• Analyse and test raw materials, non-routine samples and products against quality requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• Singapore citizenship or permanent residency.
