APAC Sales Development Leader

About the role

We are hiring an APAC Sales Development Leader to build and lead OpenAI’s enterprise Sales Development organization across Asia Pacific. Reporting directly to the Head of Global Sales Development, this role sits at the core of the Enterprise Go‑to‑Market leadership team and drives pipeline generation for our enterprise and strategic accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale the APAC Sales Development organization, defining hiring strategy, org design, enablement and performance management.
• Lead and develop front‑line SDR managers and teams across key APAC markets.
• Own regional enterprise pipeline generation strategy, translating product usage, pilots and inbound interest into qualified opportunities.
• Develop localized, vertical‑specific SDR motions and scalable outbound, inbound, ABM, partner‑led and product‑led playbooks.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Field Engineering, Partnerships and Strategy & Ops to coordinate regional GTM motion.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, revenue or GTM leadership.
• Significant experience leading SDR or pipeline generation organizations across APAC.
• Proven ability to manage distributed, multicultural teams across multiple countries and time zones.
• Strong data‑driven mindset with expertise in forecasting, pipeline analytics and operational rigor.

Required skills

• Fluency in product‑led and usage‑based GTM motions (PQLs, pilots, free‑to‑paid, expansion).
• Deep understanding of enterprise selling complexities in APAC markets.
