APAC Tax Advisor – Senior Tax Lead for Commodities Trading

About the role

The APAC Tax Advisor will act as the regional tax lead for a global commodities trading group operating across energy, metals and low‑carbon markets. Reporting to global tax leadership, you will partner with finance, trading, legal and treasury teams to embed tax considerations into commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Own all APAC tax activities, including compliance, reporting and governance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide commercial‑focused tax advice on complex transactions, structured deals, M&A, financing and new market entry.
• Manage transfer pricing frameworks and oversee tax audits.
• Collaborate with corporate functions on restructuring, corporate initiatives and risk management.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional tax qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CTA) preferred.
• 10‑15 years of experience in multinational corporates, commodities trading firms or Big Four advisory.
• Strong understanding of international taxation and multi‑jurisdictional operations.
