Application Developer – Capital Markets

About the role

We are looking for a talented Application Developer to join our Capital Market Department. You will work within a dedicated delivery team, delivering high‑quality software that meets both functional and non‑functional requirements in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs.
• Analyse user needs and create software solutions using computer science and engineering principles.
• Update and enhance existing applications, and define testing and validation procedures.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software components.
• Write clean, reusable code that follows design and coding standards.
• Perform peer reviews, configuration management, and version control.
• Develop and execute unit tests, automate test suites, and ensure test coverage.
• Address performance, security and other non‑functional requirements during sprints.
• Estimate, break down, and track user stories and tasks, keeping the sprint backlog up to date.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated and able to work autonomously while continuously improving code quality.
• Strong understanding of Agile development practices.
• Experience delivering software in a regulated, capital‑markets environment is a plus.

Required skills

• Object‑oriented programming languages such as Java or .NET.
• Domain‑Driven Design and Microservices architecture, preferably with Spring Boot.
• Configuration management and version‑control tools.
• Unit testing and test‑automation frameworks.
• Agile development methodologies.
