Application Developer

About the role

The Technology Division at BCS is looking for an Application Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure applications that support critical financial services. You will work across the full development lifecycle, from prototyping to production, ensuring solutions meet business needs and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on support, including prototyping and coding of new features.
• Build proof‑of‑concepts (POCs) and full‑scale Java and web applications on AWS and on‑premises environments.
• Support build, deployment, and testing phases while ensuring security and best‑practice compliance.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and solutions.
• Conduct performance and capacity assessments and resolve complex engineering problems.
• Maintain expertise in Java technologies (Struts, Spring Boot, Spring Batch), Tomcat, Oracle 19c, React JS, ServiceNow, and AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, ECS, CloudWatch).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience building and managing critical applications, or a fresh graduate with strong technical skills.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Team‑player with a proactive “can‑do” attitude.

Required skills

• Java development, especially Spring Boot and Spring Batch.
• Front‑end development with React JS or Angular JS.
• Experience with ServiceNow workflow development (advantageous).
• Hands‑on experience supporting workloads on AWS Cloud.
• Professional AWS certification (Solutions Architect Associate or Developer Associate) is a plus.
