AQP Engineer – Quality Planning

About the role

The AQP Engineer will partner closely with the Product Development team to create and maintain a comprehensive Quality Plan. This plan is essential for managing project risks and delivering a flawless product launch that meets customer expectations for cost, quality, and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project Quality Plans aligned with the voice of the customer.
• Facilitate front‑end risk analyses, including design and process FMEAs, and review reliability test plans.
• Lead metrology activities, create measurement plans, and manage gauges, inspection fixtures, and statistical analyses for tool and process qualification.
• Support flawless product launches by conducting safe‑launch exercises, process audits, and reverse FMEAs.
• Ensure all customer and supplier documentation for product acceptance and modifications is completed and approved.
• Lead problem‑solving activities (8D reports) for new‑product related complaints and drive systemic improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering or a similar engineering discipline.
• Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to plan, prioritize, and self‑monitor workload.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Good interpersonal skills for leadership and team facilitation.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Required skills

• Metrology and GD&T knowledge.
• Statistical analysis expertise, preferably using Minitab.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
