AQP/APQP Engineer (manufacturing/semicon/electronics)

About the role

The AQP/APQP Engineer will lead advanced quality planning initiatives across manufacturing, semiconductor, and electronics projects. You will ensure that customer quality requirements are met throughout the product development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive Quality Plans for new product introductions.
• Facilitate DFMEA, PFMEA, risk assessments, and design/process reviews to mitigate quality risks.
• Drive product qualification activities such as First‑Off Tool (FOT), process validation, MSA (GR&R), capability studies, and statistical analysis.
• Support safe launch, conduct process audits, and ensure compliance with control plans and quality standards.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality issues using 8D, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in AQP/APQP or Quality Engineering within an NPI or manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, and product/process qualification.
• Good understanding of GD&T, metrology, MSA (GR&R), capability studies, and statistical tools.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 quality management systems.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional communication skills.
