Architect – 3‑Month Contract (Construction Tech Venture)

About the role

This is a three‑month contract position with a new construction‑tech venture. You will be the founder’s first technical hire, turning architectural concepts into scalable, AI‑driven design systems that can generate thousands of residential layouts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop floor plans, interior layouts, and design variations across the venture’s residential portfolio.
• Build parametric libraries and logic that transform a single good plan into dozens of buildable versions.
• Use Claude Code daily to automate design permutations, write prompts, and create AI‑generated outputs.
• Ensure every design can be manufactured and assembled, considering steel, timber, and freight constraints.
• Absorb the majority of the design workload so the founder can focus on commercial activities.

Required profile

• Mid‑career, trained architect with real‑world project experience.
• Deep understanding of construction costs and timelines.
• Comfortable directing AI coding tools and debugging their output.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Proficiency in Rhino.
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD.
• Proficiency in Grasshopper.
• Experience with Claude Code (AI‑driven coding assistant).
