Architect / Senior Architect – Building Products & CentEx Projects

About the role

JTC is seeking an Architect or Senior Architect to lead architectural design and design management for its building products and CentEx projects. The role focuses on creating user‑centric, integrated and sustainable workplace solutions while ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and simulation‑based designs for building products, optimizing land use, space, performance, maintenance and cost.
• Incorporate user needs, industry trends and life‑cycle sustainability considerations into design solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to external consultants and ensure detailed designs meet JTC’s operational and user requirements.
• Manage architectural design consultants, translating ministry/agency requirements into design proposals throughout design and construction phases.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management and external stakeholders to ensure integrated multidisciplinary design delivery.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Registered Architect with the Board of Architects Singapore (beneficial).
• Relevant certifications such as Green Mark Manager, LEED AP, BIM Manager, Universal Design, etc. (beneficial).
• Strong creative flair, design management capability and excellent presentation and writing skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit (BIM), AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit Dynamo.
• Experience in simulation tools such as Autodesk CFD, Autodesk Autoturn, ESD‑CFD and daylighting studies.
• Graphic software skills (Adobe Creative Suite).
• Data visualisation and analytics tools: Microsoft Excel, Qlik Sense, Tableau.
• Programming knowledge in C++, C#, Python, Java (beneficial).
• Familiarity with Singapore regulatory frameworks (URA, NParks, LTA, PUB, NEA, SCDF, BCA).
