Architectural Coordinator

About the role

A construction and architectural team is looking for an Architectural Coordinator to oversee and coordinate architectural works on active project sites. Based at the office in Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park with regular site visits, the coordinator acts as a key liaison between architects, contractors and consultants, keeping projects on schedule, within specification and compliant with Singapore's building codes and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate architectural works on site, aligning them with project schedules, approved designs and technical specifications.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications and shop drawings for compliance with design intent and building codes.
• Monitor quality, safety adherence and conformance to specifications during construction.
• Liaise with architects, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders to resolve design issues quickly.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate project records such as drawings, design change notices, site inspection reports and progress documentation.
• Spot construction or design challenges early and coordinate timely resolutions to avoid delays or rework.
• Check that materials and workmanship meet project requirements and industry standards.

Required profile

• Nitec in Architecture or a relevant qualification; candidates with no prior relevant experience are welcome to apply.
• Solid knowledge of architectural design principles, building codes and construction methods.
• Familiarity with local building regulations and industry standards in Singapore.
• Demonstrated experience (or demonstrable aptitude) coordinating with architects, contractors and consultants.
• Comfortable travelling regularly to project sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or other architectural design software.
• Ability to read, interpret and critically assess architectural drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, able to manage several workstreams at once.
