Architectural Designer – Design & Regulatory Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Architectural Designer to lead the creation of design concepts and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. The role involves close collaboration with clients, authorities and the project team to translate design intent into detailed, build‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine design briefs in partnership with clients.
• Conduct pre‑design research on regulatory requirements and perform site investigations (RLP, SIP, DIP, etc.).
• Generate initial design ideas, ensure they meet regulatory standards and prepare Development Control Submissions.
• Produce outline specifications, select preferred materials and construction methods.
• Detail all spaces – exterior, interior and landscape – and create accurate SketchUp models.
• Conduct site inspections to verify that construction follows the design intent and resolve any design issues.
• Provide recommendations on materials, finishes and construction techniques aligned with the design vision.

Required profile

• Passion for architecture, interior architecture and interior design.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (local or overseas) with a strong portfolio.
• Good knowledge of colour and material selection.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, challenging environment.
• Proactive, conscientious team player.
