ASIC Test Engineer

About the role

Cisco's Silicon One Productization team builds manufacturing and test solutions that speed time-to-market and strengthen supply chain performance for advanced networking silicon. The ASIC Test Engineer manages high-volume test operations across global OSAT partners, bridging ASIC design engineering and manufacturing so that IP moves from the lab to high-volume production.

Key responsibilities

• Manage high-volume ASIC test operations across global OSAT partners to meet production throughput, yield and uptime targets.
• Lead rapid investigation and root-cause resolution of complex hardware and software test challenges to minimize manufacturing downtime.
• Drive capacity planning and hardware management to align OSAT production schedules with Cisco's product delivery timelines.
• Analyze large manufacturing datasets with statistical tools to find yield trends and implement continuous improvement.
• Partner with ASIC design teams and global logistics on the long-term Silicon One deployment strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (BSEE or higher) in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of proven experience in ATE or CFT volume production with high-end compute or networking devices.
• Experience with OSAT operations, test site qualifications and manufacturing fulfillment.
• Preferred: experience operating and troubleshooting Hontech ATC and Chroma handlers.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments, Python programming and TCP/IP network configuration.
• Statistical yield analysis, correlation analysis and root-cause debugging of yield issues or field escapes.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills in a fast-paced engineering environment.
