Asset Manager - Manufacturing Equipment

About the role

The Asset Manager ensures that manufacturing equipment, facilities and production assets are reliable, compliant and operating efficiently. The role covers the asset lifecycle, maintenance programs, equipment performance and capital planning to support manufacturing and business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle of manufacturing assets from installation through replacement
• Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Monitor equipment performance, downtime and asset utilization
• Lead equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO 13485, safety and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate asset records and documentation in CMMS/EAM systems
• Support equipment qualification, validation and calibration activities
• Develop asset replacement plans and support CAPEX budgeting
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Facilities, Engineering and EHS teams to resolve equipment issues
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma and cost-saving initiatives
• Manage external vendors and service providers where required
• Provide regular reporting on asset health, maintenance performance and improvement opportunities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, reliability, asset management or engineering
• Experience in medical device, MedTech, pharmaceutical or other regulated manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of maintenance and asset management principles

Required skills

• CMMS/EAM systems such as SAP, Maximo or Infor
• Preferred: GMP, ISO 13485 and FDA-regulated environments
• Preferred: Lean Six Sigma, Reliability Engineering, CMRP or PMP certification
• Preferred: predictive maintenance and capital project management knowledge
