Assistant Cook

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Cook to support our kitchen operations across Singapore. The role involves preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting the Cook to ensure smooth service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Cook with food preparation tasks such as cleaning, cutting, chopping and peeling ingredients.
• Clean and sanitise food preparation areas in line with hygiene and safety standards.
• Wash, disinfect and store cooking utensils, equipment and kitchenware.
• Receive, weigh, store and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies.
• Operate kitchen appliances and tools including knives, mixers, ovens and cutters.
• Maintain an organised storeroom and handle unloading of deliveries.
• Support menu development by improvising existing dishes and creating new items.
• Monitor kitchen expenses, food costs and staffing within budgetary limits.
• Perform shift work as required.

Required profile

• Ability to cook North Indian cuisine.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts.
• Attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
