Assistant Cook

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Assistant Cook to support our kitchen operations across Singapore. You will work closely with the Cook to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient food preparation environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Cook with food preparation tasks such as cleaning, cutting, chopping, and peeling ingredients.
• Maintain hygiene standards by cleaning and sanitising preparation areas, utensils, and equipment.
• Wash, disinfect, and store kitchen tools and appliances properly.
• Receive, weigh, and store food supplies, and manage inventory levels.
• Operate kitchen equipment including knives, mixers, ovens, and cutters.
• Unload deliveries, organise the storeroom, and keep track of stock.
• Support menu development and improvisation of existing dishes.
• Help control kitchen expenses, food costs, and staffing within budget.

Required profile

• Ability to prepare North Indian cuisine.
• Willingness to work shifts as needed.
• Professional attitude with a focus on cleanliness and safety.

Required skills

• Food preparation (cutting, chopping, peeling).
• Knife handling and basic culinary techniques.
• Operation of kitchen appliances (mixers, ovens, cutters).
• Inventory management and stock handling.
