Assistant Cost Manager / Cost Manager – Semiconductor / Industrial

About the role

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services company with capabilities in programme, project, cost, asset and commercial management, procurement and supply chain, is hiring an Assistant Cost Manager / Cost Manager in Singapore for semiconductor and industrial projects. The role supports the cost management team with estimating, tender analysis, variation handling, cost checks and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Background research, data collection and benchmarking
• Estimating and producing cost plans to support the cost management team
• Compiling and amending the tender list, analysing tenders and drafting tender reports
• Assisting with procurement documentation and addressing variations, including negotiating less complex matters
• Cost checks and valuations, and supporting the preparation of final accounts
• Monitoring cost progress and drafting monthly cost reports
• Document control for cost management documentation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
• At least 3 years' experience in cost management or construction projects (e.g. cost manager, construction manager, procurement, project manager, vendor, consultant)
• Foundation in quantity surveying tools and methodologies is a plus
• Native-level proficiency in the local language and business-level English
• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in Cost-X or equivalent cost estimation software is a plus
