Assistant Director / Senior Consultant, Cyber Strategy

About the role

This senior consulting position reports to the Head of Cyber Strategy Consulting and leads the delivery of comprehensive cybersecurity strategy engagements for enterprise clients. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, shaping cyber‑risk programs that align with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver cybersecurity strategy projects, including maturity assessments, framework reviews, and business transformation initiatives.
• Provide advisory services to Board members, C‑suite executives, CIOs/CISOs, and risk leaders using a Threat‑Informed Defence approach.
• Facilitate design‑thinking workshops to capture stakeholder inputs and translate them into actionable strategies.
• Manage workstreams or small teams across multiple engagements, ensuring high‑quality, on‑time delivery.
• Coach and mentor junior consultants, enhancing both technical and consulting capabilities.
• Contribute to internal methodologies, accelerators, and thought leadership such as whitepapers and podcasts.
• Support proposal development, client pursuits, and account growth activities.

Required profile

• 6–10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, technology, or management consulting.
• At least 3 years in a client‑facing consulting or advisory role delivering cyber strategy or technology transformation.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex cyber topics to non‑technical executives.
• Executive presence and confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast‑paced environments and collaborating as a team player.

Required skills

• CISSP certification
• CISM certification
• Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800‑53
• Understanding of IEC 62443
• Experience with MITRE ATT&CK
• Knowledge of ISO 27001
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
