About the role
NatSteel Holdings is seeking an Assistant Engineer to support the operation of its steel slag plant on Jurong Island. This role offers the opportunity to develop hands‑on experience in plant management, production efficiency, and maintenance coordination within a dynamic industrial environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee overall steel slag plant operations and aim to achieve production targets within the first 1‑2 years.
- Ensure plant production efficiency and meet daily production requirements.
- Conduct monthly toolbox meetings and briefings on RA/SWP topics according to the planned schedule.
- Monitor plant certification requirements, maintain documentation, and coordinate timely testing.
- Collaborate with NatSteel functional departments and manage purchasing activities through the ERP system.
- Supervise scheduled preventive maintenance for plant equipment and heavy vehicles.
- Arrange urgent purchases for breakdowns, such as hydraulic hose replacements, to minimize downtime.
